United Supermarkets Graduate Fellowship Endowment at Texas Tech University

United Supermarkets has announced the recipients of the United Supermarkets Graduate Fellowship Endowment at the Texas Tech University for the 2012-2013 school year. The lucky scholarship recipients are: Valeria Hernandez, Cameron Oliver, David Tombs, Samantha Chaves, and Emily Hammer.
United Supermarkets gifted $3 million to the Texas Tech Foundation to fund two scholarship programs, available to both new and continuing graduate students, according to a press release. In addition to pursuing graduate degrees, this year’s recipients are very active throughout the Lubbock community.
Ms. Hernandez is pursuing a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, Mr. Oliver is pursuing a master’s degree in crop science, Mr. Tombs is pursuing a master’s degree in personal financial planning, Ms. Chaves is pursuing a master’s degree in nutritional science, and Ms. Hammer is pursuing a doctorate of philosophy in curriculum and instruction.
