Walmart de México Appoints New Chief Financial Officer



MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - Walmart is a global name, touching down in many parts of the world. One country that Walmart holds a strong influence in is our neighbor down south. Recently, Walmart de México y Centroamérica announced that there will be a shift in leadership—Chief Financial Officer Olga González will be stepping down.

Olga González, Outgoing Chief Financial Officer, Walmart de México y Centroamérica González will be transitioning from her position on April 30, 2020. The retailer announced Milton Brandt, current CFO of the firm in Central America, will be taking point during the interim. Both González and Brandt will be working closely together to ensure a smooth transition.

Recently, Walmart de México y Centroamérica announced that there will be a shift in leadership—Chief Financial Officer Olga González will be stepping down

“We want to thank Olga for her commitment to Walmex. During the mandate of Olga as CFO, Walmex has had unprecedented achievements, having achieved outstanding results through strict discipline in the allocation and use of capital," stated Enrique Ostalé, Director of the Board, and Guilherme Loureiro, President and CEO of Walmex, in a statement written on behalf of the Board of Directors. “Olga was also a key person in promoting diversity and inclusion in Walmex. We want to wish you a lot of success in the future."

Milton Brandt, Interim Chief Financial Officer, Walmart Central AmericaIn a press release, the company noted that Milton Brandt was currently in transition to become Senior Vice President and CFO for business in Central America. He will be drawing on 33 years of experience in the sector.

In addition to Walmart and Walmex, Milton has worked at Unilever, Lactalis Group, Rhodia, and CNH Industrial-Grupo Fiat.
