Weis Markets recently announced the introduction of its 10th round of price freezes, effective in all 163 store locations. The company has reduced prices of over 2,000 products that will remain in effect for 90 days.

Weis customers have saved more than $40 million since the company began freezing prices in 2009, according to a press release.
"Weis Markets is committed to saving our customers money every time they visit one of our stores," said Weis Markets' Executive Vice President, Sales and Merchandising, Kurt Schertle. "With price inflation on food expected to continue in 2013, we hope to help mitigate the impact on our customers with our Price Freeze program, allowing our customers to enjoy long-term value on everyday items."

Products feeling the “freeze” include grocery items, meat, and general merchandise. Store signage and shelf tags are in place to help customers identify price freeze items.
