The United Fresh Foundation is announcing the recipients of the 2012 Frieda Rapoport Caplan Family Business Scholarships. The Frieda Rapoport Caplan Family Business Scholarship Program is now in its twelfth year and provides the opportunity for employees of family-owned businesses to attend the annual conference in Washington, DC, according to a press release.

This year's recipients are Martha Montoya from Los Kitos in Orange, California; Daniel Mueller from Volm Companies in Idaho Falls, Idaho; T.J. Rahll, Jr. from Edward G. Rahll & Sons in Jessup, Maryland and Kurt Schuster from Val Verde Vegetable Co., Inc. in McAllen, Texas. The 2012 Family Business Scholarship Recipients can be joined at WPPC.

The program is made possible through a generous grant from Frieda’s, Inc. to the United Fresh Foundation. The program was founded in 2001 by sisters Karen Caplan and Jackie Caplan Wiggins. Through the programs efforts, opportunities are expanded for representatives from family businesses to attend the Washington Public Policy Conference where they can and help make a difference. Each Summer new applications are accepted.
