Prices for 1 1/9 bushel cartons are ranging from $32.35 to $38.35 for jumbo and extra large sizes, with most trading between $34.35 and $36.85. Fair quality lots are coming in lower, generally between $24.35 and $30.35.

Out of Mexico crossings through Nogales, Arizona, demand is moderate with markets trending lower. Jumbo and extra large cartons are ranging from $30.95 to $40.95, with most prices clustering in the $36.95 to $38.95 range. Large sizes are slightly lower, while fair quality peppers are moving between $26.95 and $33.95.

Further pressure is seen in Mexico crossings through Texas, where demand is described as light and markets are much lower. Extra large green peppers are ranging from $26.95 to $28.95, with large sizes between $24.95 and $26.95 and medium sizes dipping as low as $21.95 to $23.95. Fair quality lots are moving in the low $20 range.

Greenhouse peppers present a more stable picture. Demand for colored varieties is good with markets about steady. Red peppers in 11 lb cartons are ranging from $14.00 to $17.00, while orange and yellow varieties are generally between $12.00 and $14.00, depending on size and quality.

Overall, the bell pepper category is experiencing downward pricing pressure, particularly in field-grown green peppers, as lighter demand meets adequate supply. Meanwhile, greenhouse colored peppers are maintaining steadier conditions, supported by consistent demand.
