Bobalu Berries Annouces Jonathan Sparks as Newest Sales Team Addition

OXNARD, CA - Although we are facing challenging times, that doesn’t mean that companies across the produce industry are slowing down. To prove that growth is still top of mind for growers everywhere, Bobalu Berries has announced that Jonathan Sparks has joined its sales team under the direction of Vice President of Sales, Anthony Gallino. Sparks officially kicked off his role with Bobalu on September 14 and is already working alongside his new coworkers to propel the company forward.

Jonathan Sparks, Sales Account Manager, Bobalu Berries“I am excited to be part of a growth company bringing my 20+ years of produce industry experience to reputable growers that have a solid vision for the future,” said Sparks. “Working with the Jones brothers provides me with a chance to tell their generational story and share their passion for the sense of family this company has as I connect with customers.”

Before beginning at Bobalu, Sparks primarily held positions at major corporations and large shipping companies. According to a press release, the sales veteran was looking to bring his passion and skills to the farming side of the industry. In his newest role as Sales Account Manager, he will do just that as he works alongside the likes of Gallino who has worked tirelessly to build in-house sales programs and customer relationships.

As the company looks forward to its 2021 strawberry harvest, Sparks will play an integral part in Bobalu’s growth.

Anthony Gallino, Vice President of Sales, Bobalu Berries“We are methodically building our program and targeting key customers as long-term partners promoting Bobalu brand berries to the consumer. We have been very thoughtful about who we add to our team that will help take our program to the next level,” explained Gallino.

Metamorphosing from a premium grower in the 1950s into a fully integrated company that not only grows, but ships and processes strawberries, Bobalu has been expanding its growth strategy for the past 70 years. When the Jones brothers first took over the company in 2017, the Western Veg Pro Sales team managed the logistics and sales for the brand, and now the company will work with the expanding in-house Bobalu sales team to continue to expand the berry grower’s business.

Bobby Jones, President, Bobalu Berries“This has definitely been a challenging year for everyone across the country with so much uncertainty about the future. However, we have been pleasantly surprised that demand for our berries has been on the rise and that Jonathan is excited about being part of our future as we expand our company and brand presence in the marketplace,” said President Bobby Jones.

We congratulate Jonathan on his new role and wish him and Bobalu the best of luck as they continue their partnership.
