California Giant Berry Cycling Team Brings Home a Major Win

Even after a harrowing snowstorm, strong winds, and a partial snowmelt, the California Giant Cycling team navigated the cold snowy mud to pull off a major win during the US Cyclocross National Championship cycling races. The Nationals, which took place at Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, CO, ended with Logan Owen, Yannick Eckmann, and Cody Kaiser, sweeping the podium, according to a press release.

Their fourth teammate, Tobin Ortenblad came in strong, just missing 4th place in the Under 23 race. The women placed strong as well, with Elle Anderson and Meredith Miller finishing 2nd and 3rd on the Elite Women’s podium.

Logan Owen, who already has eight national titles at the junior level, took the title this year from his teammate, under 23 champion Yannick Eckmann. Elle Anderson, who finished second behind Katie Compton, was dubbed the ‘next best woman in cyclocross.’
