IDAHO FALLS, ID - Bolstering its ability to continue providing vital data and insights solutions to the perishable industries, Category Partners has welcomed its newest Director. Industry ace Walter Liu has been appointed as the company’s Director of Analytics.

As he takes on this new role, Liu will draw on his decades of experience in Category Management leadership to enhance the company’s retail analytics function and further develop its capabilities in operations analytics, a press release noted.

He will also lead and mentor a team of analysts to expand their capabilities, drawing on his deep roots in education.

Most recently, Liu served as Fresh Del Monte Produce’s Senior Director, Category Management. In this role, he helped build and manage the company’s category management and market research functions. Before that, Liu worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Lindt & Sprüngli in Toronto, Canada.

“Adding Walter to our team is a major win for Category Partners,” said Chief Executive Officer Tom Barnes. “His experience, skills, and leadership will enable our team of analysts to reach a whole new level in bringing value to our clients.”

Liu holds a Doctor of Business Administration and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami.
