C&K Market Planning to Sell Pharmacies to Focus on Groceries
C&K Market Inc. is planning to sell its pharmacies by mid-November to focus on operating its grocery business exclusively. Currently, C&K owns 13 pharmacies that operate as Pharmacy Express, Tiffany’s Drugs, and Chetco Pharmacy & Gifts in communities in southern Oregon and Northern California, according to a press release.
“In a move to strengthen our operations, we plan to focus exclusively on our core business of operating community grocery stores,” said Gregory L. Sandeno, president of C&K Market. “We’re known for our friendly service. We plan to build on that and implement strategies to increase our value proposition.”
The company operates 65 grocery stores under the banners of C&K Market, a Yachats, OR based community market, Ray’s Food Place, Shop Smart, and LoBuck$. These stores feature a wide selection of groceries with fresh produce, bulk foods, and many organic choices.
