Continental Fresh's Albert Perez and The Produce Industry Podcast's Patrick Kelly Detail Water For All Program Opportunity

MIAMI, FL - The Texas International Produce Association’s (TIPA) Viva Fresh Expo is just around the corner. In the lead-up to the highly anticipated event, Continental Fresh’s Albert Perez, Chief Executive Officer and Grower Relations, shares a behind-the-scenes look at the supplier’s showcase.

Albert Perez, Chief Executive Officer and Grower Relations, Continental Fresh“This show couldn’t come at a better time because we just launched the start of our Mexican mango program shipping through McAllen, Texas. This marks the fourth season since the creation of our Water For All mango label, which donates proceeds to water projects in Latin America,” explains Albert. “It really seems like our label and cause have resonated with buyers and consumers because many of them request it by name.”

Continental Fresh’s Water For All label has witnessed increased popularity in the produce aisle as consumers are increasingly motivated to purchase products from companies committed to doing good. For the supplier, the program is more than just a label; it is a passion and purpose that its employees take very seriously, with many of them having personally participated in the construction and development of these water projects.

At this year’s event, Patrick Kelly, Founder and Host of The Produce Industry Podcast, will be at the Continental Fresh booth sharing information about an impactful trip he took with the company this past fall to support the campaign. He aims to ensure that more produce industry members can experience the journey themselves.

Patrick Kelly, Founder and Host, The Produce Industry Podcast“I was so inspired after participating in Continental Fresh’s Trek for Clean Water with Albert Perez last fall. I knew I wanted to make sure more produce people would be able to have the same experience,” says Patrick. “I’m humbled to be able to offer this trip, paying it forward and ensuring the Water For All mission continues.”

To help make this trip a reality for some, The Produce Industry Podcast will give away one trip to this year’s Water For All Trek to the Dominican Republic from November 17–22, 2023. The winner will receive complimentary airfare to and from the Dominican Republic from Miami, Florida; one night of hotel accommodations in Miami before departure; and all featured accommodations of the trip once in the Dominican Republic.

“This trip will bring a new sense of meaning to your life, climbing the tallest mountain in the Caribbean while engaging with produce colleagues,” shares Albert Perez. “Visiting towns with new water infrastructures and seeing the substantial impact our work has on the community puts things in perspective.”

To enter to win this opportunity to join Patrick, Albert, and many others on the philanthropic trek, submit a 2-minute video on what this trip would mean for you no later than March 27, 2023, here. The winner will be announced at the Viva Fresh Expo.
