The Global Produce & Floral Show Taps Steve Wozniak to Discuss Tech and Innovation; Vonnie Estes and John Anderson Comment



NEWARK, DE & WASHINGTON, DC - While the roots of our industry undeniably trace back to the workings of Mother Nature, technology plays a vital role in the advancement of the fresh produce sector. As the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) seeks to bring vital insights to our industry through its annual Global Produce & Floral Show, the organization has tapped Steve Wozniak to speak about technological innovation and the future of technology.

The newly announced global show keynote speaker is known for his tech prowess, inventions, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy, a press release explained, being noted as a Silicon Valley icon, technology entrepreneur, and philanthropist for more than 40 years. Wozniak is recognized for designing Apple’s first line of products and influencing the ever-popular Macintosh. In 1976, Wozniak and Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer Inc.

Since then, he has been involved in various business and philanthropic ventures, focusing primarily on computer capabilities in schools and emphasizing hands-on, experiential learning that encouraged creativity and innovation by students.

During the show, incoming IFPA Chair John Anderson, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Oppy, will also convey his priorities and expectations for the coming year.
