Good Foods Partners with Brighter Bites to “Sack Hunger”

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI - Born and raised in a family of four generations of football players, coaches, and avid watchers, I was ecstatic to see that Good Foods™ is teaming up with University of Arkansas, University of Minnesota, and University of Wisconsin-Madison football programs to “Sack Hunger.” During the 2020 college football season, Good Foods will contribute to Brighter Bites for every sack made by one of these three teams in an effort to raise awareness for the organization and assist those who are in need of nutritious, healthy foods.

Heather Penn, Charitable Board Chairwoman, Good Foods“We couldn’t have asked for a more generous or reputable organization to partner with,” said Good Foods’ Charitable Board Chairwoman, Heather Penn. “Brighter Bites perfectly aligns with our mission and values as a family-owned business to encourage and create accessibility of good food for people in need.”

The Sack Hunger campaign will be a continuation of Good Foods’ partnership with the Wisconsin Badgers last season, according to a press release. The campaign will be overseen by Learfield IMG College, the athletic multimedia rightsholder for Arkansas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

With its oversight, all three universities will receive information about the campaign through game day radio broadcasts, social media, and venue advertising.

Scott Silvestri, Vice President and General Manager, Badger Sports Properties“We’re proud and thankful to continue working with Good Foods this season and extend the campaign to the Razorbacks and Gophers programs, particularly during a year where many more families are struggling due to the current economic challenges brought on by the pandemic,” commented Scott Silvestri, Vice President and General Manager for Badger Sports Properties.

This innovative strategy marks a new approach to ending hunger as Good Foods sidles up to other industry leaders championing the cause.

As you sit down to watch this year’s college football season, regardless of what team you usually root for, cheer for Good Foods and Brighter Bites as they work to make a difference in the lives of many.
