L&M welcomes Steve Williams as Manager of Business Development, adding to its retail and foodservice marketing strength.



Before joining L&M, Steve spent the majority of his 35 year retail career with Sweet Bay/Kash n’ Karry Supermarkets, moving up through the company to the Director of Fresh Merchandising position from 2010 – 2013. His professional accomplishments are many, including the 2008 National Produce Retailer of the Year, according to a press release.

“Steve has great expertise in produce merchandising, a strong passion for the business and L&M values. He’s a super addition to our team,” said John Long, Director of Sales and Operations for L&M’s Washington business.

John Oxford, President and CEO of L&M, commented, “Steve is an important part of an overall strategic move to enhance L&M’s marketing efforts for our Apple, Pear, and Cherry business unit.”

Last week, the company also added Doug Stoiber, formerly with U.S. Foodservice and Sysco, to the marketing team in Washington. Doug has been working for several years in L&M’s transportation company, LMTS, managing produce transportation teams. Before joining L&M, Doug spent 18 years in marketing and merchandising produce in the foodservice industry. With his new responsibilities, Doug will be working alongside Steve Williams adding his expertise in foodservice and logistics to L&M’s marketing team.
