Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Announces Retirement of Joe Sbrocchi



LEAMINGTON, ONTARIO, CANADA - The Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) is reflecting on the work and successes of one of its most respected leaders. As the organization continues to evolve and push toward greenhouse sector advancement, OGVG has revealed that Joe Sbrocchi, Executive Director and General Manager, will be retiring from his position, effective February 2023.

Joe Sbrocchi, Executive Director and General Manager, Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers“I cannot convey to you all the pride I have felt working for you, and the sector, while embracing the challenges, purpose, and growth that the sector has given back to me,” commented Sbrocchi in his message to the staff and membership.

Sbrocchi took over his current leadership role in September 2017, helping to lead the sector through a tremendous period of growth in terms of production capacity. Throughout his tenure as Executive Director and GM, Sbrocchi has continuously worked to enhance and maintain the profile of greenhouse production locally, domestically, and internationally, a press release explained.

Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers has revealed that Joe Sbrocchi, Executive Director and General Manager, will be retiring from his position, effective February 2023

The talented leader has made key efforts to help the greenhouse sector achieve its strategic goal of global leadership in greenhouse production, while helping to stimulate increases in the domestic and export markets. He and his team played a critical role in aiding the OGVG membership through a pivotal transition over the past two and a half years as the organization worked to overcome worker challenges, COVID-19 pressures, and the impacts of lockdowns.

The organization will soon begin the process of looking for a successor to guide the future work of the OGVG.
