The Organic Produce Network and the Western Growers Association Announce Dates for the Organic Grower Summit 2021
MONTEREY, CA - Some very exciting news made its way across our desks here at AndNowUKnow today as the Organic Produce Network (OPN) and Western Growers (WG) have strategically teamed up to emphasize the importance of organic production. Together, the duo has announced that WG will be the presenting sponsor of the Organic Grower Summit 2021 (OGS), which the pair have revealed will be held December 1–2.
“Western Growers members produce over half of the fresh produce grown in the United States, and nearly half of the country’s fresh organic produce. Partnering with WG will solidify the Organic Grower Summit as the best place for organic specialty crop growers to get all the latest information on the organic industry,” said Matt Seeley, CEO and Co-Founder of Organic Produce Network.
Organic Grower Summit 2021, which is presented by Western Growers and OPN, will be held this year at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort in Monterey, California. According to a press release, exhibitor registration will open in May and general registration is anticipated to open in June.
The event will be held live and in-person, providing growers with firsthand knowledge and information in areas from agtech and food safety to sustainability. OGS will offer both organizations the chance to provide their members and subscribers with increased access to information, education, and networking opportunities on new organic services, products, and technology as well.
“Many Western Growers members are heavily invested in organic production, and many others are considering a move into organic production for the first time. The Organic Grower Summit is a great opportunity for growers in either position to get the latest in innovation and industry trends that are impacting the organic segment for fresh produce,” said Dave Puglia, President and CEO of Western Growers.
The Organic Grower Summit was founded in 2017 and has been known for bringing together growers, producers, and processors of organics for two days of education, information, and networking opportunities with their production supply chain and service providers.
