Safeway’s Steve Burnham’s recent promotion to Senior Vice President of Corporate Produce, Floral and Bakery meant that his past position as Vice President of Corporate Produce was left open. Burnham has just announced that that vacancy will be filled by the Vice President of the Supply Chain, Josh Waters. Mr. Waters has ten years of experience with the company and took a leading role in several past pricing initiatives. He began in Safeway’s eBusiness solutions department working with strategic sourcing events before moving into Supply Chain. The change is effective as of yesterday, July 25th.
