UNITED STATES - Blackberries deliver on both tang and sweetness, and shoppers looking to have that extra burst of sunshine before summer ends are keeping demand strong.

The Source reported that supplies do vary by shipper, with steady volume coming from Mexico and California, and transfers from Oregon helping to fill gaps.

No report on any heat damage to the berries from the higher temperatures seen this week. For blackberries coming out of California and Mexico, The Source noted the following weather alerts for the regions.

In California, moderate high pressure will keep temperatures near or above average throughout next week. In Mexico, seasonal temperatures range from the mid-70s to mid-80s, with some isolated showers and storms likely to occur from now until August 30.

According to the USDA’s August 20, 2025, National FOB Review, blackberries coming out of South and Central District California are priced between 18.00 and 20.00 in flats of 12 6 oz cups with/lids.
