Target announced it has donated $15,000 in a combination of monetary support and product to Duluth flood relief efforts. The company delivered a $10,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross Northland Chapter to support their efforts. Target will donate an additional $5,000 in gift cards to local nonprofit organizations for water and food essentials.

Gregg Steinhafel, Chairman, President, and CEO, Target, states “ When disaster strikes, Target listens and acts quickly to help support the needs of our communities. Our thoughts are with the residents of Duluth and we hope our donation will aid in the community’s recovery.”

Target has given $500,000 to the American Red Cross this year as part of the organization’s Annual Disaster Giving Program. According to a press release, Target teams go to great lengths to prepare for disasters and will continue to help communities across the country cope with natural crises.
