Wish Farms Increasing Organic Production

Wish Farms is increasing its organic production in both strawberries and blueberries. The company attributes this business decision to consumer feedback received through our FreshQC™ How’s My Picking?™ program. The growing consumer request for more organic product has encouraged a re-evaluation of Wish Farms organic product availability. Wish Farms will still provide the same offerings in conventional fruit.
FreshQC™ How’s My Picking?™ is a patented consumer feedback and food traceability system, to connect with consumers who enjoy Wish Farm's fruit. Fruit lovers submit surveys documenting their experiences. A common response has been a request for more organic product.
“The feedback we receive through our FreshQC™ How’s My Picking?™ program is invaluable to us,” said Amber Kosinsky, Director of Marketing at Wish Farms. “We want our consumers and fans to know that we are listening to their requests and that their needs influence our business decisions.”
With the Florida strawberry season underway, Wish Farms anticipates an estimated 20% more organic strawberry production over last year. The company also expects to become a much bigger player during this year’s Chilean blueberry season by more than doubling organic blueberry production, according to a press release.
“In years prior, we’ve solely offered conventional berries during our Florida blueberry season, which starts in March,” said J.C. Clinard, V.P. of Grower Relations at Wish Farms. “Now with this increased consumer response for more organic product, we’ve made the decision to start offering organic berries, as well."
