Martin Zaninovich, Founder of Jasmine Vineyards, Passes Away



Early in the morning on December 9th, 2014, beloved industry patriarch Martin Zaninovich passed away. An icon for the table grape community for decades, he was a highly regarded member of the industry who was often looked toward for his experience and wisdom.

Together with his cousin Vincent Zaninovich, Martin founded Jasmine Vineyards in 1947. From these humble beginnings, the company grew tremendously, establishing itself as one of the premier table grape growers in the San Joaquin Valley. With a strong presence in both the table grape export and import markets, Martin created a reputation for excellence in the industry, both for quality and consistent reliability.

His legacy will be carried on by new generations of the Zaninovich family, who strive daily to uphold the industry standard that Martin established so many years ago.
