GR Fresh’s Tony Incaviglia Details Foodservice Strength Ahead of IFPA Conference

MCALLEN, TX - Monterey, California, will soon be playing host to the foodservice industry, and we here at AndNowUKnow could not be more excited. The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) will be hosting its Foodservice Conference July 27–28, and GR Fresh is one booth you want circled on your map. Don’t take my word for it. Let’s have Tony Incaviglia share the deets.

Tony Incaviglia, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, GR FreshAbout 40 percent of our company’s business comes from the foodservice sector, with retail sales and wholesale distributors accounting for most of the rest of its sales,” the Vice President of Sales and Marketing explains to me. “At IFPA, we will be focusing our attention on the staple items that got us to where we are today. Attendees will learn more about our core items such as Roma tomatoes, avocados, cucumbers, green bell peppers, color peppers, eggplant, yellow squash, and zucchini at our booth.”

GR Fresh offers many different packs specifically for restaurants and other foodservice customers. Custom large club packs and value-added options like GR Fresh’s 8x6 count bell pepper pack make it a convenient option to keep in walk-ins or portable chillers.

“Our restaurant customers like these convenient types of packaging because they can pull a pepper out, close the bag, and return it to the cooler,” continues Tony. “Many restaurants just don’t have the cooler space for larger bulk packs, so smaller custom packs for those venues are available. We are doing what we can to produce and deliver the highest quality product to our customers, and these options help us meet their demands.”

Big opportunities come in small packages, but the innovations don’t stop there. Tony and the GR Fresh team are eager to hit IFPA this year to learn how the company can further push the envelope—all while meeting with friends across the industry.

“We are excited about seeing our current core customers and exploring new opportunities,” he said. “I’m old-school. I always prefer to visit customers in their own environment; it’s much more relaxed and productive for them, but these smaller venues are the next best options. So, this is a great opportunity to see a lot of people in just a couple of days.”

If you want to make a trip to see what GR Fresh can do for your business, then stop by booth #808 and catch the team in action.

Be sure to come back to ANUK, though, as we cover more IFPA news.
