AgroFresh Solutions Implements FreshCloud™ Quality Inspection by Starr Ranch Growers to Combat Food Waste; Jake Gale, Joe Schwilke, and Kim Bui Comment
PHILADELPHIA, PA - As often said in business, you are only as good as the people supporting you. Luckily for Starr Ranch Growers, it has the partnership of AgroFresh to keep its food waste and supply chain insights top-notch. By adopting AgroFresh’s FreshCloud™ Quality Inspection, the company will digitally integrate its quality inspection efforts.

The solution uses aggregated data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to sustainably address food waste reduction and derive supply chain insights through the FreshCloud digital platform, allowing for real-time decisions with live analytics. By grading produce through the integrated application, FreshCloud Quality Inspection uses real-time data to help customers make crucial decisions on produce quality, harvest timing, packing, storage, and market conditions.
According to a press release, before FreshCloud Quality Inspection, Starr Ranch Growers and its Custom Apple Packers warehouse conducted quality inspections manually, with almost no integration into larger platforms.
