CMI Launches Into Northwest Apricot Program

Columbia Marketing International is announcing the arrival of the 2013 NW apricot crop. The company is one of Washington State’s largest apple, pear, cherry and apricot growers/shippers.

Apricots are available now, through the end of July, according to a press release. Mo Woodward, a leading Sales Rep at CMI, notes, "There will be good availability during this three week period, and we are encouraging customers to take advantage of this fast and flavorful program.”

The Northwest apricot crop comes at the perfect time for retailers to fill the shelf space created from the closing California apricot season.

“CMI apricots are everything that consumers have come to expect; sweet and flavorful with a juicy golden flesh. The apricots are about a week ahead of schedule this year and have a full-bodied flavor," commented Mike Robinson, a CMI a grower.
