FRESNO, CA - Costco said, “Go big or go home,” with its latest announcement. The retailer has released plans for its largest warehouse yet, expected to open in Fresno, California. Furthermore, the facility will house a new hybrid format for the chain.

With Costco’s currently largest warehouse standing at 235,000 square feet, this 241,242-square-foot facility will surpass the retailer’s former capabilities. However, part of that space—47,000 square feet to be exact—would be used to fulfill e-commerce orders.

According to Business Insider, housing both e-commerce and traditional retail operations in the same facility is a newer move for the retailer. Typically, Costco handles its e-commerce orders at separate warehouses.

While an estimate for completion was not released, Costco did state that it does not comment on openings that are more than three months out.
