Del Monte Fresh Provides Produce for South Beach Wine and Food Festival
Del Monte Fresh Produce was the official fresh produce provider of the 2014 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF). SOBEWFF is a national, star-studded, four day-long event showcasing the world's most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs, and culinary personalities, according to a press release.
"Being a diamond sponsor of the SOBEWFF was a great opportunity for Del Monte Fresh Produce to feature our branded products to Chefs and customers and discerning consumers from across the country. We are also proud to support local institutions such as Florida International University. Offering healthy and tasty culinary options is an exciting way to show what Del Monte Fresh has to offer," said Dionysios Christou, VP of Marketing.
Del Monte was named as sponsor for "Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum and Cabo Wabo Tequila present Emeril Lagasse and Sammy Hagar's Rockin' Beach Party" Saturday night. Del Monte Fresh offered attendees that night’s signature drink, the Del Monte SOBE Sunrise featuring Cabo Wabo® Tequila and Del Monte Gold® Extra Sweet Pineapple.
Del Monte also participated in many of the other SOBEWFF events, including Thursday night’s "Moët Hennessy's The Q presented by Creekstone Farms," sponsored by MIAMI magazine hosted by Michael Symon and Friday evening’s Amstel Light Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray. Many of the exhibiting celebrity chefs and restaurants featured Del Monte fresh products in their recipes.
At the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village featuring MasterCard Grand Tasting Tents, Del Monte distributed samples of their Del Monte Gold® Extra Sweet Pineapple, proprietary MAG® Melon, and the newest addition to their product line, the Del Monte Fresh Guac.
At the Fun and Fit as a Family sponsored by Carnival featuring Goya Kidz Kitchen hosted by Robert Irvine, Del Monte shared their premium Del Monte® bananas with small children and their families who participated in the many fun activities at the Del Monte kiosk.
