MURRIETA, CA - California summers always elicit a longing for a fresh and light affair, and one way I and like-minded consumers beat the summer heat is by keeping a stock of nutritious and creamy avocados on hand. As we count down the days until Organic Produce Summit (OPS) arrives, I wanted to get in touch with West Pak Avocado’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Doug Meyer to see what the grower has in store for the industry.

Doug Meyer, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, West Pak Avocado“Our team is excited to be in Monterey, California, to show what West Pak has to offer,” Doug tells me. “We will highlight our depth of sourcing for organic avocados from California and Mexico and showcase our branded organic bags and private label capabilities. We’ll also have bulk and bagged products such as Lil’Cados Organic and California Gold Organic on display so attendees can see them in person and learn more about them.”

Held July 13–14 at the Monterey Conference Center, OPS brings together a targeted group of like-minded and organically focused attendees, making it an ideal venue for West Pak to highlight its strengths in this category.

At the event, West Pak Avocado will highlight its depth of sourcing for organic avocados from California and Mexico and showcase its branded organic bags and private label capabilities

“We look forward to the customer meetings and networking in addition to showing our support for the organic avocado segment,” Doug informs me. “Supply as an industry has been tough this year for conventional and organic avocados. So, we strive to be the expert resource to help our customers navigate the conditions in a challenging organic market.”

Like many showcasing at the trade show, West Pak is looking forward to building relationships in addition to continuing its growth—both in the organics sector as well as across the entirety of its business. This intention is further grounded by the company’s recent facility opening in New Jersey. West Pak’s modern, state-of-the-art facility boasts energy-efficient refrigeration, LED lighting, and a full suite of services to provide high-quality avocados.

In addition to its upcoming organic showcase, West Pak Avocado recently opened a new facility in New Jersey

“The facility will enhance our current distribution channel by servicing the Northeast and Midsouth regions of the United States and Eastern Canada,” continues Doug. “Like all West Pak facilities, our new distribution center is certified USDA organic.”

Pass the days until OPS rounds the corner with AndNowUKnow as we continue to keep you apprised on all things fresh.
