EarthFresh and Sobeys Team Up to Bring New Program to Spud Category
EarthFresh is initiating a program in Sobeys stores across the Ontario & Atlantic Provinces to help consumers choose the right potato for the right job. The company is debuting new bags to educate potato lovers about the different varietals and their unique cooking methods. Each store will have its own dedicated potato section for bulk and bagged product – with special signage denoting the proper cooking usage. The new bags present a usage color coded system and are made using metalized plastic. This new material utilizes light blocking technology which helps protect the potatoes from greening. Stephanie Cutaia, Marketing Manager, tells AndNowUKnow, "This metalized bag is new for potatoes and we’re very excited to help educate consumers and bring it to market."
