Frieda’s 2013 Promotional Planning Calendar Earns the International Davey Award
Frieda’s 2013 Promotional Planning Calendar won the Silver Award at the 9th Annual International Davey Awards in the Brochure Category. The annual International Davey Awards, sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, recognizes the achievements of the creative works by small organizations which derive their strength from big ideas and not big budgets.
Filled with beautiful product images and an in-store display, Frieda’s attractive calendar features a list of the company’s top selling items and their availability, and a calendar of promotion opportunities throughout the year, according to a press release. Significant food holidays such as Chinese New Year and Thanksgiving and monthly observances like Potato Lover’s Month and National Vegan Month are included as well.
“It is definitely an honor to receive the Davey Award,” said Karen Caplan, Frieda’s President & CEO. “We set out to create a promotional material that is more than just eye candy – a piece that is actually useful to our retail clients. The feedback we have received on this calendar has been very positive. Our retail clients find them very helpful in planning their own promotion, and in some cases, inspire them to do something different for their stores.”
