Frieda's Offering Specialty Produce to Support 2014 Healthy Eating Trends
Frieda's Inc. has been paying special attention to the healthy eating trends of Americans in 2013 and has developed an array of products set to feed the demand of healthy eaters in 2014.
“Food trends for 2014 point toward juicing and better snacking, while this year’s trends of clean eating, going meatless, and ‘eating the rainbow’ are still going strong,” said Karen Caplan, President and CEO. “Shoppers are looking to make a lifestyle change, not just a New Year’s resolution. The variety of specialty produce available in your store will help them with making that change and keep them coming back for more.”
Frieda's outlined some of its featured items that shoppers will be seeking in order to support their healthy lifestyle goals in the coming year:
Go Meatless: Sunchokes®, Tofu, Yakisoba and Udon Noodles, and Frieda’s Soyrizo™ and SoyTaco™.
Eat the Rainbow: Pomegranate and Pomegranate Arils, Cara Cara Orange, Mangosteen, Baby Bok Choy, and Purple Baby Brussels Sprouts.
Juicing: Moro Blood Orange, Heirloom Tomato, Passion Fruit, Baby Beets, and Young Coconut.
Snack Better: Mini Sweet Pepper, Asian Pear, Baby Apples, Frieda’s Soy Nuts, Salsa, and Guacamole.
Drink More Water: Make water more flavorful by infusing it with fruits like Organic Finger Lime, Variegated Pink Lemon, Buddha’s Hand Citron, and Zululand Queen Baby Pineapple.
This should make for a tasty 2014.
