Giorgio Fresh Readies Showcase for International Fresh Produce Association's Foodservice Conference; Greg Sagan Details
BLANDON, PA - Always one to stand at the forefront of mushroom category innovation, Giorgio Fresh is hitting the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Foodservice Conference show floor to highlight its latest lineup of exclusive offerings. I spoke with Greg Sagan, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, to get the lowdown.
“At Giorgio, we are continuously developing new ways to enjoy mushrooms. We plan to showcase our latest innovative products, including Giorgio Kitchen's Shredded Portabella Mushrooms, which are marinated in a tangy BBQ or Spicy Sriracha sauce,” says Greg. “These flavorful Shredded Portabella Mushrooms are a 100 percent plant-based, delicious substitute ingredient for popular recipes ranging from sandwiches, tacos, rice bowls, or lettuce wraps.”
In addition to its Giorgio Kitchen Shredded Portabella Mushrooms, the supplier will spotlight its signature portabella jerky, Savory Wild. Giorgio worked alongside chefs to create this product line to produce a tasty, meat-textured snack alternative packed with umami flavor. On top of these items, the company will, of course, be showcasing its full range of fresh mushrooms.
“Giorgio has a long-standing tradition of providing excellent mushrooms and service to our customers. Our dedicated team works to ensure we grow an abundant supply of high-quality mushrooms to fit the customers’ needs,” adds Greg. “As category leaders, we look forward to sampling the latest mushroom products we’ve brought to market and helping the industry see mushrooms in a new way.”
As new challenges and hurdles have appeared for both suppliers and foodservice operators, Giorgio wants to use the Foodservice Conference as a chance to speak with its current and potential customers to see how the company can better serve them and establish successful programs.
“This industry is ever-changing, and every opportunity to learn from others is vital,” continues Greg. New obstacles appear daily, and this conference gives industry leaders the chance to devise potential solutions to lingering problems such as business costs and logistical issues.”
To experience Giorgio’s unique portfolio of mushroom innovations and offerings, make it a point to stop by booth #604 at IFPA’s Foodservice Conference. I just might see you there!
