SPRINGDALE, AR - When a business grows, it’s only natural that you need more space. For Harps Food Stores, the time has come to spread its wings. Recently, the grocer entered into a purchase agreement to acquire twenty stores across northeastern Arkansas and southeastern Missouri from Town & Country Grocers of Fredericktown, Missouri.

According to a press release, the transaction remains subject to ordinary due diligence, including approval from the Town and Country shareholders. While the timing has not been finalized yet, both parties anticipate completing the transaction throughout this summer.

Harps Food Stores is seizing an opportunity to competitively expand, acquiring 20 locations from Town & Country Grocers

As part of the acquisition, Harps Food will be obtaining 10 Country Marts; 7 Town & Countrys; and one each of Cash Saver, ALPS Supermarket, and Price Chopper stores.
