Ippolito International Announces New Products; Dan Canales and Robert Polovneff Comment
SALINAS, CA - As the summer season has moved into full swing, Ippolito International has added to their berth of commodity and value-added products. With an eye towards the ever-popular Romaine lettuces, they are excited to debut Queen Victoria Mini-Romaine lettuce field pack. This Romaine variety has a distinctive, petite leaf and a consistently cupped shape that is well-suited to smaller households. In fact, one head of this variety can easily create a single salad serving.

Available in both bulk 24ct and 48ct packs, Ippolito International also offers the item in a 2-count consumer-friendly gusseted bag. The bags are packaged at either 6 or 12 per carton.

“The high-graphic packaging is helpful to shoppers who are looking to integrate the Mini-Romaine into their fresh lettuce favorites. It includes a recipe for ‘Taco Boats,’ which consumers will find easy to make. The individual leaves of this Mini-Romaine are perfectly shaped for this sort of application,” said Dan Canales, Sr. VP of Sales, Marketing, and Processing, in a recent press release.
Along with the new field pack specialty mini-Romaine, the company is also proud to announce its Romaine-based salads. Fresh-cut, pre-washed, and ready-to-eat Romaine lettuce is available in shredded and chopped packs. Also available are salad mixes featuring Romaine and iceberg lettuces along with cabbages and carrots.

Robert Polovneff, Director of Sales and Commodity Management, said, “We’ve been busy here at Ippolito International! We strive to offer our customers as broad a range of products as possible. These new items show our commitment to quality and selection and we’re happy to bring them to the market.”
