Jim Butts, Senior Vice President, C.H. Robinson, to Retire

Senior Vice President Jim Butts will be retiring from C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. after 34 years with the company. Mr. Butts will retire effective December 31, 2012.
The industry veteran has been an employee at C.H. Robinson since 1978 and has been a Senior Vice President since December 2007. He has served as a member of the executive team since April 2002. Mr. Butts has also served in roles with C. H. Robinson that include Manager at both the Chicago South and Detroit offices, according to a press release.
“The C.H. Robinson network has benefitted from Jim’s leadership and passion to preserving and developing customer relationships, account management practices, and network management skills. We will miss Jim and we wish him all the best in his retirement years,” said John Wiehoff, CEO and chairman at C.H. Robinson.
His experience in transportation, logistics and supply chain field has informed his work with a balanced perspective of the practical and creative in addition to the tactical and strategic aspects of addressing issues and providing solutions for customers of all sizes.
He has also served on the Advisory Board of Logistics Quarterly and the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management's Supply Chain and Operations Board of Advisors. Mr. Butts is also on the Board of Directors for Viking Incorporated, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, and is the Chairman of the Board for Store to Door. C.H. Robinson
