Kum & Go Hires New Vice President of Foodservice
DES MOINES, IA - Convenience-centric retailer, Kum & Go is bolstering its foodservice team, most recently appointing industry veteran Jeff Shamburger to the role of Vice President of Foodservice. Shamburger will bring an extensive background in restaurant organizations and brand building to the new role.
“Kum & Go has great brand awareness and a strong loyal following, so focusing on enhancements to the foodservice experience in ways that are relevant to customers is a logical move for the brand,” Shamburger commented. “I look forward to joining the team and working to give customers yet another reason to head to the nearest Kum & Go.”
According to a press release, Shamburger brings with him 25 years of brand marketing and product innovation experience within the restaurant and consumer packaged goods sectors. Shamburger will be keeping a close eye on identifying new food trends, and will incorporate customer feedback and his own competitive insights to further the company’s effort to drive food as a major growth strategy.
“Jeff has a rare mix of talents that he brings to Kum & Go,” said Tanner Krause, President. “He has launched new concepts; led product innovation; held profit-and-loss responsibility; and led broad, diverse teams. I am excited to see where he takes our food program.”
Shamburger previously worked in brand marketing and product innovation with major foodservice companies like Burger King, Wendy’s, Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza, and Nestlé USA. He also founded his own consulting business in December of last year. Shamburger earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern University, and has completed several other executive education courses at the University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
