Mann Packing Partners with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series
Mann Packing is joining the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series® for a second race season this fall to feature its award-winning Stringless Sugar Snap Peas at three major race events in San Jose, St. Louis, and Las Vegas.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series®, the world’s largest running series, covers several major markets in North America and international destinations. The event combines running, music, and fun, at a two-day health and fitness expo, and offers runners options for a marathon, half marathon, relays, a wheelchair invitational, and an elite athlete invitational, according to a press release. There are also live bands along the racecourse and a post race concert to contribute even further to the festival-like atmosphere.
To promote the Sugar Snap Pea sampling, Mann will have its mascot, Snappy, on hand to take pictures and to distribute future-purchase coupons to more than 35,000 attendees at each race, commented Gina Nucci, Director of Healthy Culinary Innovation.
“This is the second season that we are participating in the Fitness Expos at the race events,” Nucci said. “The demographics of the race participants match our target market.”
Mann will also be featured in Competitor Magazine again this year, along with the official event guide and official marathon website presence.
“The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon® was a new venue for us to promote our products and generate awareness for Mann overall last year,” continued Nucci. “This season we’re participating in races where we have outstanding distribution with our retail partners such as Savemart, Lucky, FoodMaxx, Raley’s, Nob Hill, and Bel Air in Northern California; Dierberg’s and Schnuck’s in St. Louis; and Albertson’s in Las Vegas.”
