BENTONVILLE, AR - When you hear Roland Harmon tell a story, you lean in. He has a presence akin to a campfire, and everyone gathers around to feel the warmth and glean a little wisdom and joy from the industry veteran. From lavender farming to Fresh Express and everything in between, Roland has scaled the heights of many sides of the industry, culminating in his current role as Senior Director, Walmart Produce Sourcing. Celebrating 15 years with the company this month, Roland has much to be thankful for.

But to truly understand, it’s best to read it in Roland’s own words.

“15 years with Walmart. It’s hard to even put into words what this journey has meant to me. Last week, standing on top of that mountain with my team and Laura Himes during the same week as my anniversary felt like more than just a picture. It felt like a reminder of how far this journey has taken me and how blessed I have been every step of the way,” Roland wrote. “I have had the privilege of serving our customers, leading incredible teams, and working alongside people who have become so much more than coworkers. Many of them have become like family.”

He continues that he does not take for granted the responsibility he has been given or the opportunities this company has provided over the last 15 years.

“There have been challenges, long days, lessons learned, and moments I will never forget. Through it all, I have been surrounded by amazing people who have helped shape me both personally and professionally,” Roland reflected. “I am incredibly grateful for every moment, every lesson, every friendship, and every opportunity Walmart has given me. Here’s to the people who made the last 15 years so meaningful.”
