ST. LOUIS, MO - Retailers have rallied together to fight for their foodservice comrades, taking pertinent steps to ensure the success of both restaurants and distributors. Schnuck Markets is adding itself to the partnership fervor, recently announcing that it will help local restaurants by selling grab-and-go meals from local favorites.

Dave Peacock, President and Chief Operating Officer, Schnuck Markets “As a part of the St. Louis business community for more than 80 years, we feel we have an obligation to help those local restaurant entrepreneurs and their staffs who have been greatly impacted by the pandemic,” said Schnucks President and COO Dave Peacock. “Schnucks hopes that by supporting local restaurants, our customers will continue to support local businesses, too.”

With options ranging from organic salads to spring rolls made with fresh veggies, the produce-forward options are a sure way to keep business going for distributors and suppliers along the supply chain.

Not only has Schnucks agreed to make grab-and-go meals accessible to customers, the retailer has also purchased in-store catering from more than 75 local restaurants to serve to Schnucks teammates at no cost to them, a press release noted.
