Sunkist to Showcase Fresh, Seasonal Star Ruby Grapefruit and Gold Nugget Mandarins at CPMA 2014
Sunkist Growers will be highlighting its deliciously sweet California Star Ruby grapefruit and Gold Nugget mandarins at this year’s CPMA Convention in Vancouver. Guests will be able to sample freshly squeezed Star Ruby grapefruit juice at Sunkist’s booth #408 as Chef Jill Davie serves Sunkist Lemon Pesto Shrimp Crostini and Sunkist Orange Chipotle Turkey Tacos, according to a press release.
“Spring is here and what better way to celebrate than with bright, healthy, and delicious Sunkist citrus,” said Joan Wickham, Advertising & Public Relations Manager. “There are many Sunkist varieties in peak-season right now and we are pleased to be sharing them with our customers and industry partners at CPMA.”
To further promote its grapefruit offerings, the company will continue to educate younger consumers by emphasizing the nutrition and weight-loss benefits of the fruit with the “Not Your Mother’s Grapefruit” campaign. A brochure can be seen in the link below:

This campaign will also be supported by Sunkist’s “Peel Away the Pounds” promotion with NBC television series “The Biggest Loser,” featuring specially marked Sunkist grapefruit and lemon packaging. The company is offering consumers a chance to win one of two trips to The Biggest Loser Resort with locations in Chicago, IL, Ivins, UT, Malibu, CA, and Niagara, NY.
