The U.S. Department of Agriculture has restricted two companies from operating in the industry for failure to pay reparation awards issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).



West Covina, Ca-based JD Produce has been barred from the industry failed to pay a $50,832 award in favor of an Arizona seller. Delfina Placencia, Jorge Placencia and Juan C. Trujillo were listed as the officers, directors, and/or major stockholders of the business.

Miami, Fl-based Foodsmart America Inc., was restricted for failure to pay a $10,920 award in favor of a Florida seller. Jainette Gonzalez was listed as the officer, director, and major stockholder of the business.
