Val Verde Vegetable Greatly Expands Acreage and Increases its Diverse Product Portfolio
Val Verde Vegetable is greatly expanding its product portfolio along with increased acreage to meet demand.
The company is testing a variety of new products ranging from red, green, and romaine lettuce to colored and Romanesque cauliflower. Since the past year, acreage has grown by nearly 30% and new varieties like golden and striped beets or red and Tuscan kale have been added to the product portfolio.

Now this third-generation family-owned company is expanding into Asian markets by adding varieties like Napa cabbage and bok choy.
Max Schuster, Vice President of Operations, tells AndNowUKnow, “Our Asian veggies have been a real hit with customers. Our biggest goals are to expand on Asian markets and continuing increasing our acreage to meet demand.”
Congrats on your continued expansion Val Verde!
