Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) was the strongest storm in known history, and hit on November 8, 2013. It devastated the island nation of the Philippines, killing thousands and leaving tens of thousands homeless and without food.

Carolina Leap, wife of a West Pak Sales Associate Kevin, was personally affected as she lost 6 members of her family. Carolina Leap is the co-founder and president of BKP-California, a 100% volunteer non-profit organization that aims to promote literacy in the poverty-stricken areas of the Philippines, providing English language proficiency in an effort to provide better economic, social and civic opportunities.
