Ahold USA Welcomes Gordon Reid as President
Effective November 4, 2013, Ahold USA will welcome Gordon Reid as the new Giant Landover Division president. Gordon replaces Bhavdeep Singh, executive vice president, operations, Ahold USA, who has served as interim president since September 2013. Singh will continue to serve as executive vice president, operations, Ahold USA.
Gordon will manage all aspects of the division with responsibility for Giant Landover’s sales, operating profits, organization, and associates, according to a press release.
With over 30 years of retail experience, Reid most recently served as group director for commercial services for Dairy Farm International, a leading pan-Asian retailer. As group director, Gordon created and delivered on the growth strategy for China and Taiwan, with direct P&L responsibility across three formats. Prior to that, he held a number of leadership positions of progressive responsibility at Dairy Farm International and other large retailers, including Boots the Chemists and Tesco PLC.
