The company is a full line commodity shipper of foodservice items including everything from lettuce, green onions, and broccoli to cauliflower. The grower does not do anything vale-added; just bulk items that the company supplies to regional processors throughout the country
What makes the company unique, according to Mr. Kaslin, is that they are a direct grower; the single grower; the largest grower in Salinas, California and that gives the company a closer relationship with the actual end user allowing them to control everything that the company does.
The company’s biggest volume item is lettuce, followed by broccoli and cauliflowers – all the leaf items, including romaine.
