WATSONVILLE, CA - California Giant Berry Farms is gearing up for a milestone launch that promises to bring fresh innovation to the berry category. Kyla Oberman, Director of Marketing for the company, announced the debut of Belli Berries—the first-ever probiotic fresh blueberry.

“We’re excited to launch our Belli Berries,” Kyla said in the exclusive video. “It is the first ever probiotic fresh blueberry.” Cal Giant partnered with Wonder Veggies, the brand behind the first liquified formulation of live probiotics. According to Kyla, this technology allows probiotics to be absorbed into the fruit itself. “You cannot wash it off, you can’t take it off, can’t freeze it off,” she noted. “What’s exciting is it’s still a fresh blueberry.”

With consumers actively seeking gut-healthy foods, the team sees major potential. “We know we have a huge opportunity to increase consumption across the board for blueberries,” Kyla said. The launch is slated for late spring.

In addition to Belli Berries, California Giant continues to promote its Giant Jumbo Blueberries and Fair Trade strawberries, available both organically and conventionally.
