California Giant Berry Farms Welcomes Jazmin Lopez as Food Safety Coordinator
California Giant Berry Farms is strengthening its food safety staff with the addition of Jazmin Lopez. As the new Food Safety Coordinator, Jazmin will be responsible for educating and training staff on the field level, according to a press release.
“Jazmin has already been a valuable key asset to the company and Food Safety Department. With her rich background and knowledge, she is bringing depth to the Food Safety Department now, and for many years to come,” said Eric Valenzuela, Food Safety Manager. “All the growers and I are truly thankful to have her as part of the Cal Giant team.”
During her time with the California Strawberry Commission, Jazmin gained expertise as its Grower Education Program Assistant. She helped with the planning, development, and coordination of educational programs and grower training events throughout California. Her experience with training and documentation for food safety, pesticide safety, regulatory compliance, supervisory skills, and water management will be great assets for the California Giant farming partners.
In her spare time, Jazmin has a passion for gardening, plays the violin, and has performed Mariachi.
