CHESAPEAKE, VA - A new Chief joined Dollar Tree recently. Jonathan Leiken has entered the retailer’s executive leadership team, taking on the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary.

Leiken brings more than 20 years of legal experience to the role. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary of Diebold Nixdorf. Prior to that, Leiken was a partner at global law firm Jones Day and an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (Criminal Division).

As noted in the release, Leiken holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brandeis University. Among many civic endeavors, Leiken is the President of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and teaches as an adjunct professor of law at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
