Nicole Minnich-Zapata Shares Inside Look at Misionero's Southern Exposure Showcase

GONZALES, CA - Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure event is here (practically) and the industry is readying up for a busy show floor filled with can’t-miss products and innovations. As Misionero prepares to showcase its newest line, I spoke with Nicole Minnich-Zapata, Marketing Director, to get a sneak preview.

Nicole Minnich-Zapata, Marketing Director, Misionero“This event feels like the entryway back into trade shows and networking with our customers and partners—for that, we are excited!” notes Nicole. “We look forward to sharing the 10-plus years of expertise behind our greenhouse-grown hydroponic lettuces with the Southeast at SEPC.”

Misionero will be showing off its lineup of hydroponic greenhouse-grown lettuce, which is being debuted under the supplier’s Garden Life label. The unique line features exclusive lettuce varieties such as Little Gems, Butter Lettuce, Green Leaf, and Romaine.

Eco-friendly, packaged in rPET clamshells, and using 80 percent less water than traditional field-grown products, the products appeal to both consumers’ demand for environmentally friendly products as well as retailers’ sustainability goals.

“With organic and hydroponic lettuces converging in the marketplace, we’re eager to capitalize on the opportunity to add to Garden Life’s current portfolio and meet consumer demand,” adds Nicole. “Misionero is excited to introduce the new hydroponic lettuce lineup and build synergy with the rest of our product catalog, including organic salads and value-added lettuces and vegetables.”
