Progressive Produce's Hollywood Fries Program Kicks Off
LOS ANGELES, CA - The industry is slowly returning to a semblance of normalcy, particularly in the foodservice sector. In order to keep this momentum going, Progressive Produce recently announced that its year-round Hollywood Fries program and its premium frying potato has seen tremendous demand in the foodservice world.
"More and more restaurants recognize the value of adding ‘fresh-cut’ fries to their menu. Not just as financial value, but a culinary one as well," stated Gary Askenaizer, Product Manager. "The taste and quality of a fresh-cut fry are incomparable, in my humble opinion!"
This summer, the company expects its Washington crop to start up nicely as its fields in California start to close at the end of July, a press release explained. Although the growing season in Idaho has seen weather variations, Progressive Produce's grower partners are pleased with how the crops are progressing.
"We have gotten better and better at producing a consistent, high-quality product that our customers can depend on every year," continued Askenaizer. "The growth in our business reflects the results of our efforts."
Product is conveniently packed in 50-lb cartons and shipped from Progressive's centrally-located facility in Commerce, California. Progressive will also be highlighting its premium Hollywood Fries brand in the "Fresh Ideas in Produce" theatre at the Produce Marketing Association's Foodservice: Delivered show, so be sure to stop by and virtually say hi!
