Lozano also noted that being able to provide an alternative for customers and shoppers is a crucial aspect of the company’s mission, as many people—from retailers to the end shopper—are looking for an alternative to single-use plastic.

“We are kind of doing a mushroom moment,” she added when asked about the product featured in the New Product Showcase. “Mushrooms have kind of [been] exploding for us, but I feel like there's [also] been a sustainability push.”

In addition to that, people are exploring mushrooms in home cuisine, starting to add gourmet varieties and wild mushrooms to their mealtime repertoire.
