Scott Farms' Stephanie Williams Discusses New Value-Added Products for 2018
TAMPA, FL - Fresh and innovative offerings are in the works from Scott Farms; the North Carolina-grown sweet potato provider is rounding out its already impressive product line with exciting new offerings.
I spoke with Stephanie Williams, Domestic Sales Manager, to learn more about the company’s growing assortment of spud varieties and value-added offerings at this year's SEPC Southern Innovations.
“We’re promoting our different varieties of sweet potatoes. We have Murasaki sweet potatoes, Covington, [and] we have bonita sweet potatoes, which are white,” said Stephanie. “We also have several value-added items for our retail and foodservice customers.”
In addition to bulk and value-added offerings in these popular varieties, Scott Farms has introduced an unexpected new product—sweet potato chips.
“We’re also really excited about debuting our chips. Our chips were started by our sister office, which is based out of the U.K.,” Stephanie added, noting that the new product line will be available to U.S.-based customers in three flavors: Salt and Vinegar, Sea Salt, and Cheddar and Chive. “We’ve got everything you need from wholesale to foodservice to retail.”
